HiringThing is Ten Years Old!

Ten years ago, HiringThing CEO and founder Joshua Siler was handed a stack of paper resumes in a search to hire a new engineer. The process seemed unwieldy and outdated. Technology was already being used to streamline and automate other standard workplace processes, Siler thought, why not hiring? That’s when the seeds of what would become HiringThing were born.

When Siler founded the company, he had two goals:

  1. To create the hiring solution he wanted to use.
  2. To create the kind of company where he’d like to work.

HiringThing is now celebrating our tenth anniversary, and we could safely say we’ve hit both those goals.

Our team has worked tirelessly to develop the modern recruiting platform as a service our partners and clients love. HiringThing creates seamless hiring experiences for all of our users. Since our founding, we’ve shifted focus to our private label hiring partnerships, which have empowered our partners to transform and grow their businesses through their own bespoke recruiting solutions.

Private-label software is purchased by a company from a SaaS provider and customized with robust, user-friendly solutions, including tailored workflows and single-sign-on capabilities. In the case of HiringThing, this means we work with our private label partners to ensure they meet the recruiting needs of those they serve. The strength of private labeling is that end-users of the product are not aware it was initially produced by HiringThing, maintaining the brand of the private label partner. Our customers use their private label applicant tracking systems to:

  • Add new revenue streams to their portfolio.
  • Complete their recruiting solutions without developing in-house, saving time and heavy engineering costs.
  • Build a full integration with an open API and developer-friendly documentation.
