Your Customers Want Hiring. Here's How HR Tech Vendors Are Delivering It in 2026

HR tech buyers want fewer vendors and connected data, and hiring is often the piece missing from the platforms they already use. This post is for product and partnership leaders at HCM, payroll, workforce management, benefits and LMS companies deciding how to fill that gap. It compares the ways to add hiring, explains why job distribution decides who wins, and shows where to find HiringThing at HR Tech 2026.

What's inside:

HR tech buyers are asking for hiring

Buyers want hiring inside the platform they already run, because AI performs best on connected data. A separate applicant tracking system splits the employee record at the very first step.

SHRM's State of AI in HR 2026 reports that 46% of organizations expect to use AI in HR this year, based on a December 2025 survey of 1,908 HR professionals. HR Tech conference chair Steve Boese has written that consolidation is what lets AI tools draw on complete data. The 2026 conference theme, From Change to Transformation, asks vendors to show results.

For a payroll or benefits platform, the risk is concrete. When a customer consolidates vendors, the platform without hiring is the easiest one to cut. Hiring is also the front door for every employee record your product touches later, from onboarding to the first paycheck.

Should you build, buy or partner for hiring tech?

Partnering is the fastest path to a working hiring product, because the job distribution and integrations already exist. Building gives you full control and takes the longest. Buying a hiring company is fast but carries the highest upfront cost and integration risk.

Your brand, the partner's engine

Building makes sense when hiring is your core product and you plan to compete with dedicated recruiting platforms. For most HR platforms, hiring is a feature customers expect and a module that pulls them deeper into the rest of the product.

What's the hardest part of hiring tech to replicate?

Job distribution is the hardest part. AI tools can produce an applicant tracking interface in weeks. They can't produce the relationships that put a job in front of candidates on the networks those candidates use.

Job board and network partnerships are relationship driven and earned over years. Each network sets technical standards and decides which partners get priority support and early access to new products. New entrants start at the back of that line, and so do teams trying to assemble hiring tech with AI. You can't fake job board connections or the results that come from them.

HiringThing is a LinkedIn Silver Preferred Partner

HiringThing holds Silver status in LinkedIn's Preferred Partner Program for fiscal year 2027, which runs July 2026 through June 2027. LinkedIn uses the program to recognize partners that help customers get results from its AI-powered hiring solutions. Keeping the tier requires ongoing certification through LinkedIn's Partner Enablement Platform, so the status reflects current work.

HiringThing is an Indeed Silver ATS Partner

Indeed's 2026 ATS partner program sets technical and adoption requirements for each tier. Silver partners support Indeed Apply Sync with screener questions and EEO data for US jobs, plus Disposition Sync and salary and location fields. Indeed also measures how many of a partner's clients have those integrations turned on and how well hiring outcomes flow back.

That reach matters to your customers. Indeed describes itself as the world's #1 job site by unique visitors (Comscore, August 2025), with 615 million job seeker profiles and 3.3 million companies hiring on it (Indeed). Disposition Sync sends hiring statuses back to Indeed, which can improve future candidate matches.

What this means for your platform

When you embed HiringThing, your customers get both connections on day one. Their jobs reach LinkedIn and Indeed through integrations held to each network's partner standards. Your team skips the years it takes to earn that access, along with the upkeep of keeping it.

HiringThing integration partners are at HR Tech 2026

Several HiringThing integration partners are exhibiting at HR Tech 2026, and each one comes with the platform when you embed us. Hiring touches many steps after a job goes live, so a partner's ecosystem carries as much weight as its core product.

How does white label hiring tech work?

With white label hiring, the recruiting experience runs under your brand inside your product. HiringThing powers the applicant tracking engine and the job board and screening integrations behind it. We maintain them as networks change their requirements.

Your customers see your logo. You decide pricing and packaging, and you keep the customer relationship.

Several of our white label partners are exhibiting at HR Tech 2026. You won't see our name on their booths, and that's by design.

Questions to ask any hiring tech partner

  • Which job boards and networks do you hold formal partnerships with, and at what tier?
  • How deep do your integrations go with screening and interviewing tools?
  • Who owns the candidate and customer data?
  • How do you keep up with EEO reporting and new AI hiring rules?
  • How fully can the product carry our brand, down to candidate emails and career pages?
  • What does support look like for our team and for our customers?
  • How long does a typical partner launch take?

Frequently asked questions

What is a white label ATS?

A white label ATS is applicant tracking software that a platform offers under its own brand. The provider runs and updates the software, and customers experience it as part of the platform they already use.

How long does it take to add recruiting to an HR platform?

With a white label partner, a launch usually takes weeks to a few months, depending on branding and integration depth. Building a competitive recruiting product in house takes far longer.

Why do job board partnerships matter for hiring software?

Job boards control the integrations that move jobs and applicants between their sites and your software. Formal partners get deeper integrations and priority support, which affects how many qualified applicants your customers see.

Can AI replace job board relationships?

No. AI speeds up building software, yet job board partnerships are earned through track record and client adoption that networks measure over time.

Is HiringThing a LinkedIn and Indeed partner?

Yes. HiringThing is a Silver partner in LinkedIn's Preferred Partner Program for FY27 and a Silver partner in Indeed's 2026 ATS partner program.

Where is HiringThing at HR Tech 2026?

HiringThing is at Booth #3433, next to the Exhibitor Lounge, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas from October 20 to 22, 2026.
